HGPS was allocated approximately £18,840 PE Premium funding for 2017/18. This has been spent in a variety of ways, but the main objectives were to ensure all pupils had access to high-quality provision and the teaching and learning of PE improved across school.
Through careful monitoring and evaluation, every child in Reception, KS1 and KS2, now has access to lunchtime sporting activities and free multi-skills lessons every week.
All children have at least two hours of high-quality PE per week. Additionally teachers have had external professional development to support both their teaching and assessment of P.E.
The P.E. Premium money has also been used to build upon and increase children’s access to competitive sport
The PE Premium money has been spent updating our gymnastics equipment and ensuring it meets the legal standard. Furthermore, children at HGPS have had access to the following activities:
- Cross country
- Pop Lacrosse
- Tag rugby
- Country dancing
- Street dance
- Outdoor Adventurous Activities eg, climbing
