Lunches

Parents at Hazel Grove Primary have the choice to send their child to school with a healthy packed lunch or they can pre-order a school meal (via Parentpay) which is cooked on the premises by our cook, Sam.

This system gives parents the freedom to choose their child's meal on a daily basis or up to 3 weeks in advance so you always know what your child has eaten. It also gives the flexibility to mix and match and choose school dinners/packed lunches to suit each individuals own needs. We will provide a school meal if one has been ordered before 8am on the day the meal is required. If a meal has not been ordered we will assume that your child will be provided with a packed lunch.

All children in Years Rec-2 are entitled to a Government paid for Universal Infant Free School Meal and those children in years 3-6 currently pay £2-40 per day for their lunch (unless they have been successful in applying for FSM.)

Some families in certain circumstances may be entitled to Free School Meals so please contact the office if you think this could be you. Even if your child is in Reception, year 1 or 2 and getting a UIFSM, it is still worthwhile applying for FSM as there are other benefits to both school and parents when FSM is identified
